Labor Day, Hard Work, and the Comfort of Home
Labor Day is more than just the unofficial end of summer. It’s a holiday created to honor the American worker — the men and women who build, repair, and keep our country running. First celebrated in 1894, Labor Day is a reminder to step back, rest, and enjoy the fruits of hard work with friends and family.
A Little HVAC History
Not long after Labor Day became a holiday, another game-changing invention came along: air conditioning. In 1902, Willis Carrier developed the first modern AC system, and by the mid-1900s, cooling technology was transforming homes and workplaces across the country.
From that moment on, HVAC became part of the backbone of American life — quietly working so families could stay comfortable no matter the season.
Our Team, Our Labor
At Keystone HVAC & Climate Systems, we believe Labor Day is about more than history. It’s about people — including our own team. We try to give our guys the chance to enjoy their hard-earned day off with their families, grilling out, relaxing, and taking pride in their work.
But the truth is, HVAC doesn’t take a holiday. There’s always one of our technicians out on the road, making sure your system is running so you can enjoy your day, too.
Labor Day is about celebrating the value of hard work and the comfort it provides. We’re proud to serve our community by keeping homes and businesses comfortable year-round — even on the holidays.
👉 If your system gives you trouble this Labor Day weekend, call 757-344-4010. One of our team members will be there, so you can get back to enjoying the holiday the way it was meant to be spent — with friends, family, and peace of mind.
